Driving Directions

From Augusta:  Take Rt. 202 toward Winthrop and Lewiston.  Approximately 15 miles from I-95 and through Winthrop there is a small hill with a blue DOT sign that says Monmouth with an arrow to the left and a Rt. 132 junction sign.  From there continue on Rt. 202 another 1.8 miles to a crossroad.  On the right is an old fruit stand and on the left a new small professional building.  Take a left onto Blue Road (if you get to the Monmouth Fish and Game building on the right you have gone too far).  Go 1 mile on Blue to the stop sign, turn left.  We are the third house on the left counting the old cape on the corner.  On the right is a black mailbox with 319.  The house is blue with a small-attached greenhouse on the front.  It is easiest if you take the upper drive past the mailbox, come around to the front of the house and head back toward the road.  You will see a path on the right to a small blue building – that is the mill.

From Lewiston:  Take Rt. 202 toward Greene and Augusta.  Approximately 15 miles from the bridge over the Androscoggin River and through Greene there is a small restaurant on the left called Rhonda’s Grill, as you start up a hill on the right there is a Monmouth town line sign at a railroad overpass.  From there continue on Rt. 202 another 1.8 miles to a crossroad just past the Monmouth Fish and Game on the left. On the far left corner is an old fruit stand and on the far right a new small professional building.  Take a right onto Blue Road.

From the South on the Maine Turnpike:  Take the Sabbatus Exit ( 86 ), at the off ramp take a left toward Sabbatus on Rt. 9.  About 1 ˝ miles the Town Office will be on your right, watch for a DOT sign that says Monmouth.  Take that right and continue up and over the hill to a stop sign.  Go straight across, you will be crossing Rt. 126 and onto Rt. 132 north.  Stay on 132 for 9-10 miles, you will come into Main Street Monmouth, the Post Office will be on your right, then the general store, cross the RR tracks, then a small memorial park, a cemetery, and finally Cumston Hall, a large Victorian Opera House.  Take a left onto Blue road across from the Cumston parking lot.  Go 1 mile to the stop sign, turn right onto Norris Hill Road.

From Interstate 295 in Topsham:  Take the Topsham exit for Rt. 196 West toward Lisbon Falls and Lewiston.  Continue on 196 to Lisbon Falls and watch for the high school on the left.  There is a signal light and signs for Rt. 9.  Take a right onto Rt. 9 at the light - there is a gas station on the far corner.  Follow Rt. 9 to the overpass of the turnpike and follow the directions above from the Maine Turnpike.
